The Tasting Room at James River Cellars is open 7 days a week!
Monday-Saturday: 11 AM – 7 PM / Sunday: 11 AM – 6 PM
A blend of urban convenience and quaint rural appeal, James River Cellars is a perfect location to stop by and enjoy a picnic on our beautifully landscaped patio or capture the view from our terrace. Join us for a casual wine flight or guided tasting and relax for an afternoon on our expansive patios and covered pavilion.
Guided Wine Tastings
Enjoy a guided tasting of eight curated wines by our tasting room team. Tastings are offered at the bar on a first-come, first-served basis. Fee: $16 to taste select wines and learn more about what James River has to offer! Wine glasses are sold separately.
Wine Tasting Flights
Flights are available daily. You can choose from our themed-flights or create your own from our wine list. Flights are self-guided tastings that you take to your table. Fee: $16 for a flight of four wines. Wine glasses are sold separately.
Elevated Tastings
James River Cellars Winery presents a new Elevated Tasting and Tour Experience. Whether you have been frequenting James River Cellars for years or you are brand new, this experience will be an exciting change from the ordinary.
One of our knowledgeable wine educators will greet you with a glass of JRC Rosé and will take you on a walking tour of our property and cellar, while sharing our history, along with the winemaking process. We will conclude our tour with a seated tasting of select wines.

In cases of severe weather, please call the winery to check hours of operation or visit our social media pages.
Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs or blankets and find a space on our lawns. Reservations are not required for regular visits, and guests are welcome anytime during business hours to enjoy wine flights or wine by the glass or bottle. Visitors are not permitted to stay on our property after hours.
